This exposed open Pavilion is an unfinished and ongoing project that showcases the locality and surroundings of the site. The UB250 beams mimicking the strength and rawness of the surrounding Eucalyptus grey gums. By cantilevering the structure from the West, this allowed an undisrupted view of the properties landscape, connecting the family to their surroundings.

This project was an end to end service, designing to project managing including; hydro analysis, contractors, earth works documents and master planting scheme

Mixed media artwork, an on-site design sketch presented to clients of the Nura pavillion incorporating the second stage design for the surrounding landscape.

The Box grey gum, endemic to the Castlereagh region. The gums beauty is shown in its visual strength. Paying homage to the surrounding gums we created a structure that represents the strength of the trees but also a minimalistic and playful visual to the beholder.
By rotating the UB250 beams to the South West the midday sun becomes apart of the structure, playing light on the deck, whilst providing ample shade and opportunity to be apart of the surrounding landscape.
