Contracted by Alchin Long Group for the masterplan and construction of landscape at 38 Redfern Street. The property is home to two 18,000ft manufacturing units in the heart of Wetherill Park. The conditions of the site was run down and bare. At the front of the property ALG wanted to create an inviting, low maintenance, multi use green space to establish a welcoming entrance, and an additional support area for employee mental health.
The design consists of lomandras, poa and dianellas native to the local Western Sydney bush, providing a contrast against the harsh industrial lots. This was an end to end service, overseeing the entirety of the project, including plant list, ordering materials, construction, earth works, budget and contractors.

The curvature of the design creates a harmonious flow for the viewers eye line between the soft leafed grasses and the sharp form of the Lomandra Longifolia. By mounding the landscape along the Redfern Street fence line, it provids privacy for employees using the space, as well as directing the eye line of passing traffic, to the newly constructed glass facade of the factory.

Entrance Section of the proposed greenspace. The native mix of Lomandra Longifolia, Dianella Caerula and Poa Labillardiere creates a visually relaxing space for movement through and around the site.
